Course Description

Prepare to take the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP^®) examination to receive one of the most valued credentials in project management.

Instruction is provided by a staff of experienced PMPs from the North Alabama Chapter of PMI. A combination of lecture, practice questions, and classroom participation will review the nine knowledge areas and five process groups from the Guide to Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK^®) 4th Edition, one of the primary resources of exam material.

Included in the course are:

• PMI terms and definitions
• Strategies for exam preparation; study techniques
• A guide to the use of important formulae
• Review and analysis of example questions, i.e., how to select the best answer
• Tips and pitfalls to avoid
• In-class exercises to aid the learning experience
• Short videos to reinforce key principles
• Additional project management knowledge not in the PMBOK® Guide, but expected to be covered on the exam
